Welcome to the Aviston, IL American Legion. The American Legion is the largest and best of the Veterans organization’s within the United States. We are committed to the ideals which we were founded upon, the four pillars. They are: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. These pillars encompass programs that benefit hundreds of thousands of lives each year including our nation’s veterans, service members and their families, ordinary citizens and our youth.

- $1000.00 for Veterans, Auxiliary, SAL, or family members of Post 1239 AND $1000.00 for an individual living within the 62216 zip code area.
- Look for details on the below applications OR pick up an application at the Aviston Legion during the open hours. To apply print the application(s) and once the application is complete, mail to American Legion Auxiliary Post 1239, 601 South Clinton, P.O. Box 123, Aviston,IL 62216
- You may apply for both scholarships if applicable.
- Applications open: November 1, 2019 Deadline: April 1, 2020
